By: Don Germaise

Tampa Police and Hillsborough County Animal Control officials seized dozens of animals Tuesday morning they say were living in horrid conditions.

After months of warnings, police raided a home on Lanier Drive near MacDill Air Force Base and seized 32 animals, including 19 dogs, 11 cats, one snake and a hedgehog.

"The dogs were covered in feces, ticks and cockroaches. It was horrid," said Animal Control spokesperson Pam Perry.

A next door neighbor described odors coming from the house as "putrid and gross." Sophia Bernardi told ABC Action News, "I was in complete shock. I had no idea there were that many animals in there."

Two people, Matthew Poole and Tadashi Rubright, were arrested. They now face animal cruelty charges..." More & video
