Dozens of dogs and cats seized from home of man who died in traffic accident

by David Whisenant

Rowan County Animal Control has seized dozens of cats and dogs from the home of a man who died in a single car crash Monday morning on Highway 150.
John Patrick Jobe of Old Concord Road was killed when he ran his Ford Taurus station wagon off the road.  The car then hit a tree and flipped over.
A neighbor alerted Animal Control about Jobe's animals.  One witness described as many as 80 dogs and cats living in the house.  The witness said the "feces in the house was so thick it was difficult to open the door" and that the "odor was unbearable."..."  More
