by Brittany Fredrick

SPARTA, KY (FOX19) -
The Gallatin County Animal Shelter seized more than 100 animals from a woman's home on Highway 42.
Among the seized animals are 20 dogs, 76 chickens and seven turkeys. Neighbors say the woman would often leave the dogs tied to trees for days.
"They were in real bad shape. Some of them were just standing there in mud holes and they were all wet. Some of them were real thin. One has died since we picked it up. It was extremely thin and it died over night," said Bobby Nun, an animal control officer in Gallatin County.
In January 2011, the woman had 17 dogs taken away from her after animal control officers found the dogs chained to trees in freezing temperatures..."  More
