Pets Seized From Condemned Blue Summit Home


People in Blue Summit said they're seeing a change for the better in their neighborhood after authorities condemned a home, removed nearly two dozen animals and took one woman into custody.


Neighbors said the house was so filthy and full of pets that they could hear it and smell it all the time.


"It was pretty bad," said Robert Claypole, who lives two doors down from the home. "It ain't something I like to smell."


Relatives went to the house to collect belongings on Friday, but the Jackson County Sheriff's Department said the fact that the home has been condemned means that no one else can get in without someone from the department being there..."  More & video
