A 9-year old girl was removed from a home overrun with animals.
Police were making a welfare check at a home in the 2800 block of East Second Street early Friday evening.
They say they found the child living in deplorable conditions not fit for anyone let alone a child.
Investigators say the girl lived at the home with her mother and grandmother, who said her granddaughter is loved and well cared for.
The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center removed 38 animals including dogs, cats and birds from the home. They say many of the animals were not in good physical condition..." More
