Animal control and law enforcement officers take class to strengthen animal cruelty investigations

More than two dozen animal control and law enforcement officials from several counties across the state attended an animal cruelty investigations class in Lincoln County.
North Carolina Humane Society Director Kim Alboum described the horrible conditions often found inside of puppy mills and other cases of involving animal hoarding.
"We're seeing animals with teeth falling out of their mouths from rot, jaws break when we touch them because the teeth have been rotten for so long,” said Alboum. "They are victims of crimes and we want to make sure the people that are abusing these animals are prosecuted to the fullest extent.”
The Humane Society of the United States held an 8-hour class for animal control and law enforcement officers about how to strengthen investigations into animal cruelty and fighting..."  More
